Open Day – Communication Factory

As part of OpenKOMM!unikationsfabrik, dancers from the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company present their research and their own work at Frankfurt LAB. In the DFDC studio, a workshop with Education Manager Manuel Gaubatz is offered.

Nothing new in the West? Yes there is! Between Gallus, Griesheim and the Europaviertel, Schmidtstraße 12 is an extraordinary place for art, creativity, music and club culture. At Open KOMM!unikationsfabrik, the "Kommunikationsfabrik" opens its doors to people of all ages for an afternoon full of experiences. Art, kids, dance, circus and costume workshops, open stage and concerts, dance performances, karaoke, flea market, fire pit, mulled wine and fruit punch, as well as sweet and savoury snacks.

Admission is free and offers glimpses into unknown rooms and fantastic views of Frankfurt. Everyone is cordially invited to get to know a special part of Frankfurt better. It's worth it!

4 PM COMMUNITY DANCE – DANCE WORKSHOP FOR AGES 14 AND UP
In a workshop, the Dresden Frankfurt Dance Company offers insight into the improvisational work of choreographer and artistic director Ioannis Mandafounis and invites you to try it out and explore a new language of movement. The workshop is open to anyone interested and you can attend in street clothes – we dance in socks. Workshop leader Manuel Gaubatz will surprise you with various exercises from the company's daily dance routine.
