Dance is the thrill of the moment, when body and soul take over the movement. Rhythm has always fascinated me. It is one of the things about dance that touches me in a way that goes far beyond words.
Solène Schnüriger began appearing in the circus at the age of seven and quickly turned to contemporary dance. She completed her training at The Manufacture in Lausanne. While studying, she worked with numerous choreographers, including Ioannis Mandafounis. Particularly important were the collaborations with María La Ribot, Marie-Caroline Hominal, Joshua Monten, Cerise Rossier, Yann Hermenjat, Yann Lheureux, Mehdi Duman and the Alias Company. The approach to improvisation and presence taken by David Zambrano continues to influence her work to this day. She has danced with a number of Swiss ensembles and she joined Compagnie Anadyomène in 2021, where she performed as an actor and dancer. She is also the artistic director of Compagnie Petrichor, for which she creates her own works.
