Connecting is the first and strongest word that comes to my mind when I think about dancing. Connecting with your body, yourself and the world around you.
Since early childhood, Marina Kladi has danced ballet and contemporary dance. She has also participated in workshops in hip-hop, swing, Charleston, salsa and capoeira. She studied dance at the Greek National School of Dance in Athens and was active as a dancer and choreographer during her training. She has danced in works by Zoi Efstathiou, Mary Denaxa, Rainer Behr and Konstantinos Rigos, among others. In 2022, she performed in “Remains of Dreams”, a choreography by Ioannis Mandafounis, at the Onassis Cultural Center in Athens. The year before she began her studies was a very inspiring time, as she traveled extensively and took part in numerous workshops. In light of those experiences, improvisation has become an especially important form of dance expression for her.
