“A Land Within” is a promenade performance that invites spectators to wander through a series of imagined worlds. Each location has its own identity, atmosphere, function and vitality that induces a distinct quality in the dance.

As the audience moves freely between the locations they travel through the personal emotions and states of each performer. This dreamlike journey is an invitation to explore a mosaic of stories that fan out the many facets of what it means to be human based on the philosopher Maxime Rovere's thoughts on conflict and forgiveness.

“A trip around the world that takes less than two hours? It does exist. […] It takes place in the minds of those travelling from place to place, settling down, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. In some places it can get very hot, or you can shiver. In addition, the inhabitants of these countries or continents sometimes come extremely close to us. This can be exciting, often very funny, sometimes a little strange, sometimes even very strange. It is an emotional journey that the audience of ‘A Land Within’ can embark on […].” – Eva-Maria Magel, FAZ
