Last weekend, Ioannis Mandafounis' new creation "A Land Within" celebrated its Frankfurt premiere. In this piece, the audience can move freely through the Bockenheimer Depot, open many doors and immerse themselves in various worlds. Sometimes they look down into a black box, at other times they look upwards while two dancers swing in the air attached to ropes.

A common thread running through the piece is the thinking of French philosopher Maxime Rovere, who was a guest on the second evening for a post-show talk. Based on his book on the philosophy of conflict, "Se vouloir du bien et se faire du mal", he reflected on conflict and forgiveness for "A Land Within". We have had three fantastic, sold-out shows, with a great premiere party and we are looking forward to starting the second block of performances on Wednesday.
